Identifying the best ways HR can drive business growth and profitability has stirred up strong discussions in the profession. How can human capital leaders go past the typical HR metrics and directly influence bottom line business metrics?
Expert panellists and speakers at the HR Leaders Summit, Asia’s most prestigious event for senior HR executives, will discuss the latest conversation about HR and its value to organisations.
“Exceptional chief human resources officers know how to effectively communicate the positive impact of HR activities on business strategy to top management,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.
“The HR Leaders Summit 2016 will re-examine the importance of people management and HR’s evolving role in successful organisations.”
The HR Leaders Summit is an ultra-exclusive, invitation-only conference for senior HR executives to be held at the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa on the island of Phuket in southern Thailand on 16-18 May 2016.
The panel session entitled “CHRO’s Panel: Getting business leaders on board with HR boosting strategic business” will lay down techniques on how to negotiate and win when communicating with senior leaders.
Headed by Haroon Bhatti, chief human resource officer at DiGi Telecommunications, and Jean-Michel Wu, chief talent officer at McCann WorldGroup, the discussion will pinpoint where and how HR can add value to companies in terms of bottom line, shareholder and stakeholder’s values.

Bhatti and Wu will also offer advice and strategies in strengthening HR’s involvement in achieving workplace productivity and positive financial impact.
The advantages of having a purpose-driven organisation will be the core topic of the keynote presentation entitled “Redefine your leadership – How HR’s role is changing for a sustainable business culture and growth.” The topic will also touch employee engagement, workplace productivity and HR leadership.
Last year’s HR Leaders Summit scrutinised the fundamentals of workforce planning and its importance in linking business strategy and HR strategy. A session on the development of an HR business model based on an organisation’s business and culture was held. Last year’s top HR delegates also learned how talent management can drive key business metrics as well as the relationship between talent investment and business success.
For 2016, the HR Leaders Summit will focus on the practical application of concepts, solutions and emerging trends in human resources management, especially when addressing business issues. The topic that will be moderated by Adrian Ole, regional HR director for Asia at International SOS, in a roundtable discussion is about determining the role of HR in overcoming uncertainty and pursuing business growth.
This interactive session will encourage exchange of ideas and knowledge among HR leaders as the group attempts to come up with feasible strategies.
Other leading companies represented on the HR Leaders Summit 2016 agenda are Amcor Flexibles, FHRI Hotels & Resorts, Johnson Electric, McCann WorldGroup, NXP Semiconductors, and many more.
