HR Vendors of the Year Awards finalists can expect stronger benchmarks and thorough assessment as the jury welcomes new names from Asia’s biggest and most respected companies.

Outstanding senior HR executives from Adidas, DBS, Esquel Group, Hilti and McDonald’s will provide input and time in the search for this year’s best HR solutions providers in Asia.

“Synchronising research, industry trends and business values to meet the demands of the ever-changing HR industry and provide them quality client service is not an easy act,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.

“That’s why the additional names to the HR Vendors of the Year Awards 2015 jury will ensure that all entries will be meticulously evaluated to pinpoint the most deserving HR solutions providers.”

Here are some of the latest additions to the HR Vendors of the Year Awards 2015 jury.

Edward Wong, senior manager for talent acquisition at Adidas, administers recruitment efforts across APAC, including operational recruitment, employer branding projects, ATS implementation and enhancement, talent pool strategy and execution.

Before joining Adidas, Wong held various in-house and external talent acquisition and HR business partner positions with leading organisations.

DBS Bank’s VP for talent acquisition group, Aylwin Pang, leads the development and implementation of various talent acquisition strategies for group technology and operations.

Prior to joining DBS Bank, he joined United Overseas Bank as vice president for human resource management, supervising internal staffing, employee engagement and communication as well as human capital advisory and projects.

With over eight years of experience in talent acquisition, Wong holds a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore.

With an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and an MSc in Strategic Human Resources Management from the Hong Kong Baptist University, Francis Chan, director for group HR at Esquel Group, a global leading textile and apparel manufacturer, handles HR analytics, systems, and infrastructure.

He also has expertise in designing and deploying performance management, compensation, recruiting, talent management and core HR processes and systems.

Mye Lene Teo, human resources head at Hilti, carries over 13 years of experience as an HR business partner with various MNCs in the logistics, warehousing, supply chain and manufacturing sectors.

Her career in HR covers strategy and operations which include compensation & benefits, organisational development, talent management & acquisition, competency development, union and industrial relations and HR operations.

Teo holds two law degrees from the University of Buckingham, UK.

McDonald’s senior director for talent & diversity, Janet Man, is known for her expertise in training, organisational development and change management.

She is also skilled in designing talent planning frameworks, formulating accelerated development programmes for high potentials, managing change initiatives such as post-merger integration and delivering creative HR solutions to solve business issues.

All judges are director or vice president level HR professionals with regional responsibility.

The HR Vendors of the Year Awards is based on a two-tier selection process. Category finalists will be decided by research on the vendor preferences of HR managers in Asia.

The winners will be judged by an esteemed jury of over 60 regional heads of HR from around Asia.
