Axiata, MGM, PepsiCo and Technip support HR excellence
The HR Excellence Awards further bolstered its panel of judges by adding HR leaders from Axiata Group, MGM Macau, Pall Corporation, PepsiCo and Technip.
They will help identify, highlight and recognise HR practitioners who thrive in key areas of HR strategy and execution at the HR Excellence Awards 2015.
“We are thrilled that the roster of judges is a mix of brilliant and trusted minds in various leadership roles from different industries,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.

Here are the latest additions to the HR Excellence Awards 2015 jury.
Axiata Group’s group chief talent officer, Datin Sri Badrunnisa Mohd Yasin Khan, is responsible for developing a talent pipeline of world-class leaders for the company.
With over 25 years of professional experience, she worked with Shell in the past where she managed IT software application and human resources.
She also served as general manager for the leadership & talent management at TM. Datin Khan holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry & Pharmacology from the University of Aston in the UK.
Wendy Yu, senior vice president of human resources at MGM Macau, is responsible for all human resources functions as well as the core planning for MGM’s second project in Cotai.
Carrying over 20 years of professional experience, Yu started her human resources career with the Hyatt Regency Macau and led the opening of the first Holiday Inn property in Macau in 1993 as human resources manager.
She also served as director of human resources for the Westin Resort in Macau, handling all HR activities, including the integration of the Westin brand into the Starwood family.

In the past 15 years, Thomas Kraabel, vice president of human resources at Pall Corporation, has worked with Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, US multinationals and locally owned enterprises from bases in Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai and Brussels.
Today, he is applying his human resources, commercial and international experience to improve organisational and functional capability at Pall Corporation.
The wide-ranging skills of Steve Wilson, director of talent sustainability at PepsiCo, are in succession planning, performance management, employee relations, talent development and leadership development.
Prior to his current role, he was at BUHO Bangkok supporting a range of countries including Thailand, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, Philippines and SE Asia, and served as organisation capability manager for three years.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, he held the national training manager position at IGA Asia Pacific.
Jacqueline Chue, vice president of human resources for APAC at Technip, has held various HR roles in diverse industries ranging from banking to retail.
Her current HR role is in the field of project management, engineering and construction for the energy industry.
Prior to joining Technip, Chue held leadership positions at Shell and Manpower. Her main interest is in bringing about change through creative and innovative ideas and activities.
Some of the other companies represented on the HR Excellence Awards jury are Boral, Facebook, Kimberly-Clark, UMW Group, USG Siemens, and many more.
All judges, such as Zarina Piperdi, senior vice president of human resources at SIA Engineering, are director or vice president level HR professionals with regional responsibility.
Open only to in-house corporate HR teams, the HR Excellence Awards this year will celebrate high achievement in 23 categories which cover HR strategy, compensation & benefits, learning & development, corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, diversity, employer branding, leadership development and many more.
As always, the HR Excellence Awards are judged solely by an esteemed jury of over 60 regional heads of HR from around Asia, making it the only HR awards in Asia based on a peer review system.
Companies represented on the HR Excellence Awards jury are the most respected Fortune 500 organisations and some of the biggest employers in Asia and the 2015 jury is no different.

The Malaysian awards were held last week, the Singapore awards will be held on Thursday 8 October while the Hong Kong awards will be held a week later on 15 October.
