Hong Kong Broadband Network was the biggest winner at last night’s HR Innovation Awards hosted by Human Resources Magazine, picking up nine trophies in total.

Held for the first time in Hong Kong, the award drew more than 200 HR professionals to celebrate the hard work and dedication that they have put in over past year to create a better workplace.

The night saw companies take home awards from 20 categories.

There were more than 100 entries, all of which were judged solely by a panel of the most respected HR directors in Asia.  The judges acknowledged they awarded those winners who had created new HR benchmarks while navigating through rapid changes in the business environment.

On top of being the HR Grand Winner, Hong Kong Broadband also won the gold awards for Excellence in Recruitment & Retention Strategy and Excellence in CSR Practices.

Other top performers included New World Development Company Limited which picked up six awards for the night. The company also won the gold award in Excellence in HR Strategic Plan and Excellence in Employee Development.

DBS Bank (Hong Kong) was another strong winner, walking home with four trophies in last night.

The bank won gold for Excellence in Employee Work-Life Balance, Excellence in Graduate Development, Excellence in Talent Management and Excellence in Workplace Well-Being.

The only individual award of the night-HR Professional of the Year, went to Terry Chan from Hotel Jen Hong Kong.

ANZ took home the HR Team of the Year Award and Madison Communications Limited was awarded the SME Employee of the Year.
